In June 2008 the group of student leaders coming from different Muslim organizations in the campus realized to unite themselves. Troubles in the university are always present because there is no unity and peace among organizations, such as rumbles or gang war. The organization leaders decided to meet and discussed among themselves to retain peace in Muslim students, like the old times. With the advised and guidance from the founder Mr. Nurhasan Danial, the leaders was organized and joined together as one aiming for sustainable peace in the campus, not only among Muslim students but also the other tribes and religions. The leaders then decided to have a camping including the members of each organization. The camping was about oneness and peace. After the program, the students get to know each other, they started to treat each other like their own brothers. Some of them that have vices decide to stop it. The camping had a big impact to them, not only about being united but also their spiritual insights was elevated. They come up to a new organization giving it a name "Muslim Youth Movement" aiming for sustainable peace and development in the campus and in the community as well.The organization is conducting programs inline with peace and academy while collaborating with youth organizations in the campus.
The aims of the organization will possible success through the supports of the institutions, concerned youth and students, university administrations and other individual organization who are also hoping for peace in Mindanao.
