The Muslim Youth Movement conducted a community service to the street children of Tetuan Zamboanga City last August 9, 2009 at 9:00-10:30 a.m.
The (MYM) Muslim Youth Movement aims for the sustainable peace and development in Mindanao and has come up with this kind of organization concerning bombing in Mindanao. It is under leadership Ahmad Rayhan Jukupan, chairperson for Mindanao and Nur Danial, adviser.
According to Jukupan, the highlight of the MYM community service in Tetuan was Islam's encouraging humanity for peace and giving alms, and strictly prohibitted terrorism.
The group was welcomed by Barangay Chairman Felipe Natividad.
Christian and Muslim students of WMSU are volunteers of this program entitled "Food for Peace". They also featured feeding program for street children in Tetuan. -- Cherry May Canete and Nathalyn Arsena WMSU Masscom
