Blessings from a Foreign Brother

Written by: Rene J. Siraji and Muktar Jamud

Starting the "Lihal Program" was a bit hard for us. Soliciting a huge number of Qur'an was never easy, but still keeping our hopes up and never stop believing in Him, we know an answer will come. And after a long period of waiting, through the help of God it was made possible.

A Muslim brother from Saudi Arabia, out of his sincere generosity donated a huge amount of Qur'an, summing up to more or less than 200 pieces. This is such a huge blessing, which will really help a lot of in need Muslim kids to know more about the teachings of Islam.

"Lihal Program" is an on-going program which aims to promote the traditional way of home-based Qur'an lecturing to the muslim kids who can't afford the expensive enrollment of studying in a "Madrasah" (A school or college, esp. a school attached to a mosque where young men study theology.). Schooling them the basic teaching of Islam and teach them how to read and familiarize the Arabic language in the most convenient and economic way, in the comforts of their own home and their parents and grandparents as their "Guru" (teachers).
Babu Dayang and her pupils at Southcom Village, one of the recipients of the program.
People from the Federation of Tausug Youth Organizations, who helped us to extend the program to the different municipalities of Sulu Province.
Bilal Murshid of Freedom Mosque, San Roque, who always believed in the power of youth and helped us with the distribution. A big thanks to him.
For giving us a such great support, we at the Muslim Youth Movement (MYM) would like thank our foreign muslim brother Dr. Samer Naasan of Prince Mansour Military Hospital, Taif, Saudi Arabia for donating a huge amount of Qur'an. We would always remember your kindness and help you imparted to the Muslim kids in Mindanao who are the benefeciaries of this program, we will always be thankful to you. May Allah bless you and your family. Thank you very much.
For our "Lihal Program", we accept donations in the form of Qur'an and any educational illustrative books or visual aid materials that teaches the Arabic language in the simplest way, which kids will easily learn from it.
